Animal Cruelty Fund
Support the work of the Animal Cruelty Task Force by donating to the Animal Cruelty Fund.
The Animal Cruelty Task Force (ACT) at the Humane Society of Missouri is dedicated to investigating every case of animal abuse and neglect, and to rescuing any animal who is suffering, has been abandoned, or is living in horrible conditions that threaten their health and safety.
The team is comprised of dedicated professionals including investigators who often have to rescue animals from dangerous conditions. They are trained to search through dilapidated properties, deescalate high risk situations created by non-cooperative owner/abusers, operate search-and-rescue equipment, and perform swift-water rescues in cases of flooding or other natural disasters.
