Through the Women's Leadership Council, participants collaborate as volunteers and advocates, actively contributing to the Humane Society of Missouri’s mission: offering second chances to animals in need.

Women’s Leadership Council Members help the Humane Society of Missouri by:

  • Supporting Operation SNIP (Spay & Neuter Initiative Program), which provides low-cost spay/neuter services to any responsible pet owner in Missouri. One hundred percent of WLC membership fees and one-time gifts support the program.

  • Attending and volunteering at HSMO signature events.

  • Obtaining sponsorships and auction items for HSMO signature events.

  • Assisting with the organization’s gratitude efforts (e.g., thank-a-thon calls, handwritten thank you notes, thank you deliveries, etc.).

WLC Members will have the opportunity to:

  • Connect with other women who love animals through special events and volunteer opportunities.

  • Enjoy behind-the-scenes experiences and updates from top-level HSMO personnel.

  • Receive a $50 discount on adoptions.

  • Receive $50 off your first checkup at our Animal Medical Center of Mid-America.*

  • Receive appreciation of your time and commitment.

  • Have opportunities to meet the animals you are working to help!

Your $150 gift at the Calico Cat level provides the medial supplies and medication for two spay/neuter procedures through Operation SNIP.

Your $250 gift at the Shih Tzu level provides the medical supplies and medication for three spay/neuter procedures through Operation SNIP.

Your $500 gift at the Golden Retriever level covers the total cost of three spay/neuter procedures through Operation SNIP.

Your $1,000 gift at the Standard Poodle level provides the medical supplies and medication for 13 spay/neuter procedures through Operation SNIP.
