Young Friends of the Humane Society of Missouri
Are you a young professional interested in donating your skills to help animals in need? Join the Young Friends of the Humane Society of Missouri!
Who We Are
We are a group of professionals in our 20’s and 30’s who are passionate about helping pets. We promote adoption, spay/neuter, and the proper treatment of all animals.
The goal of the Young Friends is to raise awareness and funds for homeless and abused animals in Humane Society of Missouri shelters.
What We Do
The Young Friends of the Humane Society of Missouri work on special projects and events to promote the organization. Our biggest Young Friends event, Barktoberfest, takes place every October at Urban Chestnut in Midtown. We also contribute to the success of Bark in the Park and other events throughout the year. As the group grows, we hope to spend more time promoting adoption and responsible pet ownership at community events.
If you are interested in joining, please email Shana Cook at email@example.com. There is no membership fee to become a Young Friend, but attendance at our monthly meeting is expected. Meetings are typically held at the Humane Society of Missouri or at a local establishment, and include a guest speaker on an animal-related topic, plus time for networking. We welcome professionals from all backgrounds. Thank you for your interest!
