I am able to commit to weekly volunteering.

1-3 hours per week requirement

Forest Park South Shelter in St. Louis City:

    • Mon-Fri 7:30am-11am and 1-6pm
    • Sat 8-11am and 1-5pm
    • Sun 8am-11am and 1-4pm

Westport Area Center in Maryland Heights:

This volunteer opportunity is not currently accepting new volunteers. Please consider another option, or check back with us in May 2017.

Assist with adoptions by greeting visitors, showing them where our animals are located and connecting them with adoption counselor staff.

Feline and Canine ambassadors will be paired with staff to help the adoption process through completion.

I am able to volunteer 1-2 times a month.

Two half days or one full day

Volunteering for the formerly abused and neglected animals at Longmeadow Rescue Ranch is a rewarding experience. Although the work is demanding, the animals’ appreciation is immeasurable.

The Education Department is in need of dedicated, personable, and passionate animal advocates to help teach the 24,000 children who visit our Headquarters location each year for field trips and tours.

No degree is required, but knowledge of responsible animal care and previous experience making others feel good about themselves is a plus.
