Meet the Post-Dispatch Pets of the Week!

Ruger-A671090

Hi, my name is Ruger and my ID Number is A671090!

One-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound, Ruger is looking to be your new exercise partner, always urging you to keep moving! This happy hound will help push you forward to exceed your personal fitness goals on a walk, jog or run. While you take a break to stretch, Ruger would love for his new human friends to play fetch or a game of tug. His most favorite activities are sniffing and fetching, so a big, fenced-in backyard is essential for this high-energy explorer. He is prone to chasing rabbits and squirrels, so he would be better suited in a home with no small critters. Ruger can’t wait to go on all your adventures and end the day cuddling on the couch.

To adopt, apply in person at HSMO’s Best Buddy Pet Center in Maryland Heights. Click here for hours and directions.

Bandit-A673698

Hi, my name is Bandit and my ID Number is A673698!

Two-year-old, Bandit may no longer be bunny sized, but he has all the playful and bouncy energy of a young bunny! This handsome rabbit mix needs a forever family who will help him continue to grow through positive reinforcement and gentle handling. Bandit would love a home where he will be kept safely indoors with lots of fun enrichment toys to keep him entertained. This happy guy has a fun personality and it will be hard to stop watching him explore and play each and every day. His name may be synonymous with being a thief, but the only thing this bunbun will steal is your heart!

To adopt, apply in person at HSMO’s Macklind Ave. headquarters in St. Louis City. Hours and directions at www.hsmo.org.

Vixen-A664454

Hi, my name is Vixen and my ID Number is A664454!

Two-year-old German Shepard mix, Vixen would love a place to call home. This beautiful girl’s coat will cause you to take a second look as she is all dressed up in tan with a few white spots. Her floppy ears and expressive amber eyes will make you smile. Although she is no longer puppy-sized, Vixen still has lots of playful energy, so she needs an active family who will include her in all their adventures. She is super smart and well-mannered, mastering how to sit and wait for treats. This people-pleasing pup would enjoy taking long walks where she can sniff and explore her surroundings and then end the day with endless hours of cuddling with her new human friends.

To adopt, apply in person at HSMO’s Macklind Ave. headquarters in St. Louis City. Hours and directions at www.hsmo.org.
