Meet the Post-Dispatch Pets of the Week!

Eddy-A654942

Hi, my name is Eddy and my ID Number is A654942!

Eddy is a short-statured Corgi mix with a handsome brown coat and expressive, brown eyes that will never keep you guessing as to what he’s thinking. Eddy weighs about thirty-pounds and has spent some time in foster care with a loving family, so he’s already trained on what being a best friend is all about. While at the Humane Society of Missouri, Eddy has shown a preference for using the bathroom outside and when outside of his kennel he is well behaved and excited to see the world around him. He will be a great addition to one lucky family!

To adopt: Apply in person at the Humane Society of Missouri’s Best Buddy Center in Maryland Heights. Click here for hours and directions.

Thumper-A661400

Hi, my name is Thumper and my ID Number is A661400!

Thumper is a one-and-a-half-year-old Holland Lop rabbit with big, floppy ears and a gorgeous, chestnut-colored coat that has every shade of brown imaginable. Thumper is more than just his good looks however – he’s also incredibly outgoing and always the first to bunny-hop his way to the front for attention. When he’s not busy being adorable, he can be found playing with toys or cozying up to a human pal so that he can be petted. While at the Humane Society, he’s shown a preference for using a litterbox and with his friendly personality will make an excellent small companion!

To adopt: Apply in person at the Humane Society of Missouri’s Macklind Ave. Headquarters in St. Louis City. Click here for hours and directions.

Edy-A660520

Hi, my name is Edy and my ID Number is A660520!

Edy is a seven-year-old Yellow Lab who is friendly, loving, and most importantly – ready for her forever home. This sweet gal weighs about fifty-four pounds and has a long, wagging tail and a cheerful smile that will brighten up your day, every single day! She would love to find a family who will take her for long walks in the neighborhood and then spend the cooler evenings petting her from head to tail. Edy has proven herself to be a ready companion who would love to find a whole family to bond with, just so long as they’re ready to give her the attention she craves. She’s sure to make her future home very happy!

Haley is a five-year-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix with a copper-brown coat and a heart of gold! This gorgeous gal weighs about seventy-one pounds and is built for swimming, hiking, and snuggling – whatever you’re doing, she wants to do with you. Although Haley is a big dog, she walks really well on a leash and when she’s not out adventuring she wants to be curled up in the best seat in the house (which is always the one right next to you). Haley is a sweet and loving dog who will make an excellent companion for one lucky family!

Meet Max, the Purina Pet of the Week!

Max-A661861
Purina proudly feeds the animals of the Humane Society of Missouri

Hi, my name is Max and my ID Number is A661861!

With his rugged good looks and charming purrsonality, staff and volunteers couldn’t help but fall in love with Max! Max is a sprightly fifteen-years-young and he’s on the prowl for the ultimate napping spot to hang out in while in his golden years. Although he really enjoys napping, he also really enjoys food and would love the occasional cardboard box to sit in so he can pretend to be king. He’s hoping his future forever family will provide him with all that and a bit more – a good scratch on the back to keep him purring is very much appreciated. Max will be a wonderful companion for one lucky family!
