Meet the Post-Dispatch Pets of the Week!

Bam-A656802

Hi, my name is Bam and my ID Number is A656802!

If you have a thing for tiny eyebrows, come check out Bam! Bam is a beautiful two-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix with a smooth, white coat and the smallest eyebrows that give her the best expressions. She weighs in at about thirty-six pounds, so she’s the perfect size for snuggling up on the couch after a walk around the neighborhood. Bam can be a little shy with new people, but if you’re willing to take things slow you’ll be rewarded with a bottomless supply of tail wags and puppy kisses. Bam is a loving dog who can’t wait to be your best friend!

To adopt: Apply in person at the Humane Society of Missouri’s Best Buddy Center in Maryland Heights. Click here for hours and directions.

Big Boy Baby-A655196

Hi, my name is Big Boy Baby and my ID Number is A655196!

Big Boy Baby is an affectionate four-year-old domestic shorthair looking for a forever family to call his own. This handsome red tabby cat is a big guy who thrives on snuggling and chin scratches and would love to share a home with you if there’s enough room in your lap to curl up and nap in. He needs a home that will not only pet him from head to tail, but will also help keep him on a diet so that he’s as healthy as he’s sure to be happy while living with his new best friends. This sweet cat will make an amazing pet for one lucky family!

Sweetie-A647355

Hi, my name is Sweetie and my ID Number is A647355!

Think of the sweetest thing you’ve ever known, and Sweetie is still sweeter than that. Seems impossible, we know – we thought so too until she showed up! Sweetie just can’t help but want to be loved on and will push her face into your hands until you have to pet her. She’s an adorable six-year-old with a gorgeous, lynx point coat, a loud purr, and a tiny meow that couldn’t fit her any better. All she’s looking for in life is a forever family with a warm spot to sleep and plenty of time to pet her from head to tail. If you can offer endless love with endless love offered in return, then Sweetie would be a purrfect fit!

To adopt: Apply in person at the Humane Society of Missouri’s Macklind Ave. Headquarters in St. Louis City. Click here for hours and directions.

Hi, my name is Aire and my ID Number is A658148!

If you look up good in the dictionary, you might just find a photo of Aire! This beautiful five-year-old Pointer mix already knows how to sit and stay, and is so polite she might greet you with a shake of her paw. Aire is a larger sized dog who weighs about fifty-six pounds, but she walks so gently on a leash that she seems to weigh nothing at all! She enjoys the company of all of her human friends, both big and small, and while at the Humane Society of Missouri has shown a preference for using the bathroom outside. Aire is everything you could possibly want in a best friend she just happens to walk on four legs!

Hi, my name is Honey and my ID Number is A656658!

With her light blonde hair and sugary sweet personality, there couldn’t be a better name for this three-year-old dog than Honey! Honey is a medium-sized Border Collie mix weighing about thirty-four pounds so she’s just the right size for keeping up on any adventure while still being able to be picked up without breaking a sweat. She’s a shy but active dog who likes to move fast but take things slow and she’s looking for a patient family who can help her adjust to living the good life. Meet Heath, the Purina Pet of the Week!

Heath-A658070
Purina proudly feeds the animals of the Humane Society of Missouri

Hi, my name is Heath and my ID Number is A658070!

Heath’s a boy with a coat the color of milk chocolate and a personality as sweet as sugar – no wonder he’s a favorite with the staff and volunteers at HSMO’s Best Buddy Pet Center! This seven-month-old Labrador Retriever mix is a little shy at first, but if you peel back that timid wrapper you’ll find thirty-eight pounds of ooey-gooey puppy-love. Heath would really benefit from a puppy-ready home who will continue with obedience training and socialization to take him from ‘good boy’ to ‘best friend’. This sweet and loving puppy will be a wonderful addition to the lucky family that takes him home!
